 SPORTIE’S Annual May 8 Ball Competition Results
This competition is sponsored by The Hervey Bay Boat Club Sporties Pool Club with players coming from Brisbane, Rockhampton, Twantin, Maroochydore, Gold Coast, Nth. N.S.W, Hervey Bay and one from Tasmania. The Comp is held on the May Day long weekend each year at the Sportsmen’s Club and has a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000. The President Brian Eadie said this year’s games were some of the best games he has seen in a long time with the final result 6 to nil to Ben.

5th/8th Jammo, Peter Watt, Steve Jolly, Ashley Smith.

 Congratulations to Brent Read (Gold Coast) in Winning the Townsville Open Comp on the May Day long weekend. Brent defeated the up and coming supa star Chris Bingley aka "Sticker Man". Good to see some top contenders from the South East travelling to Townsville, which is were the State Singles and State open team play-off are later this year (27-28-29 August 2010). I guess Brent's odds must of shorten to Win the South East Zone Singles as well. (17th July 2010)

 The Brent Read X-Mas Trophy was hottly contested over the weekend. With 104 runners (must of be the Caulfield Cup Field) Brent said it was the best turnout ever. Even thou the Austrailain Player failed to fire, the gossip was he had sore eye's from being up all nite on the inlaws computer. |

 22 PLAYERS turned up.
Brent Read beat Darren Gordon in the final This Australia day weekend 2009 Z7 Eightball and The Post office Hotel Will be hosting a knock out Competition. The entry will be $100 and it will be following the world rules. The Tables will 8 by 4 foot with brand new aramith balls and a measle white ball.
